900mg of D-mannose and 2160mg of cranberry per serving, with 2 billion CFU of Lactobacillus acidophilus, zinc glycinate, Ceylon cinnamon, oregano and bamboo leaf providing 15mg of silica. Every dose declared.
Zinc Carries the Claims
D-mannose and cranberry have no authorised health claims in the UK or EU. We would rather state that than imply otherwise. What is regulator-assessed here is the zinc:
Zinc — 1.5mg (16% NRV), as zinc glycinate · contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the protection of cells from oxidative stress, normal DNA and protein synthesis, normal cognitive function, normal fertility and reproduction, normal acid-base and carbohydrate metabolism, and the maintenance of normal bones, hair, nails, skin and vision.
The form matters. Zinc glycinate is zinc bound to two molecules of glycine, the smallest amino acid, which results in better absorption across the intestinal wall than other zinc compounds. Zinc oxide and zinc sulphate — the common cheap forms — need a lot of stomach acid to absorb, and can cause nausea and gas without it.
What D-Mannose and Cranberry Are
D-mannose is a simple sugar, a monosaccharide related to glucose, found naturally in certain plants and fruits including cranberries and pineapples. It also occurs naturally in some cells in the human body. You may see it called carubinose, mannose or seminose.
Cranberry — Vaccinium macrocarpon — is related to bilberries, blueberries and huckleberries. It supplies vitamin C, dietary fibre and manganese, and is a source of polyphenols including proanthocyanidins, flavonols and quercetin. At 2160mg equivalent per serving it is the largest ingredient in the formula.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is a bacterium found in the gut, mouth and vagina. Notably, the most common bacteria in the urinary microbiota of healthy women are the same species of Lactobacillus found in the vagina.
How Other UK D-Mannose Products Compare
D-mannose powder — higher dose, no extras. Powders often provide 1–2g per scoop, but with no cranberry, cultures, zinc or botanicals, and they need mixing.
Cranberry tablets — one ingredient, often low dose. Widely available, but cranberry alone and frequently at a fraction of 2160mg equivalent.
Combination capsules — similar idea, rarely halal. Some brands combine D-mannose and cranberry, but few add live cultures or zinc glycinate, and almost none carry halal certification.

Is This You?
- You want D-mannose and cranberry together rather than buying them separately
- You want live cultures included — the Lactobacillus species in this formula are the same ones found in the healthy female urinary microbiota
- You want zinc as glycinate, which absorbs better than the oxide and sulphate forms in cheaper products
- You'd rather take a capsule than mix a powder
- You need halal and kosher approved — almost nothing in this category carries either

Questions We Get Asked
What is D-mannose?
A simple sugar — a monosaccharide related to glucose — found naturally in certain plants and fruits including cranberries and pineapples. It also occurs naturally in some cells in the human body. You may see it listed as carubinose, D-manosa, mannose or seminose. This formula provides 900mg per 2-capsule serving.
Which ingredient carries the authorised claims?
Zinc. D-mannose and cranberry carry no authorised health claims in the UK or EU, and neither do the botanicals or the live cultures. Zinc at 1.5mg contributes to normal immune function, the protection of cells from oxidative stress and a long list of others.
Why zinc glycinate rather than zinc oxide?
Zinc glycinate is zinc bound to two molecules of glycine, the smallest amino acid, and absorbs across the intestinal wall better than other zinc compounds. Zinc oxide and zinc sulphate — the cheap forms used in most supplements — need substantial stomach acid to absorb, and can cause nausea and gas without it. Stress, over-eating and advancing age all reduce stomach acid.
Why is there cinnamon and oregano in it?
Ceylon cinnamon at 10mg and oregano leaf at 4mg are included as supporting botanicals alongside the D-mannose, cranberry and cultures. Ceylon is true cinnamon rather than the more common cassia. Bamboo leaf is also included at 20mg, providing 15mg of silica — bamboo is the richest known natural source of silica at over 70%.
Food supplements should not replace a varied diet or healthy lifestyle. Contains D-mannose, a simple sugar — speak to your GP before use if you are diabetic. Consult your GP before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medication, or managing a diagnosed health condition. If you have persistent urinary symptoms, see your GP.
