Hemp is the only plant protein that arrives complete on its own — all the essential amino acids in the seed itself. HyperHemp takes that base and adds fourteen whole foods and herbs: alfalfa, beetroot, Ceylon cinnamon, dandelion root, green tea, spirulina, acerola cherry, chlorella, blackcurrant, parsley, baobab, spinach, acai and fenugreek. The protein is extracted using water, pressure and flocculation only — no hexane, no toxic chemicals. This is a whole-food shake with protein in it, rather than a protein powder with a green label.
Why Hemp Protein Is Different From Pea, Rice or Whey
Most plant proteins are isolates — the protein stripped out and everything else discarded. Hemp is closer to a food. The seed naturally contains all essential amino acids and dietary fibre, so a hemp protein retains nutrition that isolates leave behind. The trade-off is honest: hemp is lower in protein per gram than a pea or whey isolate, because the fats and fibre take up room. If your only metric is grams of protein per scoop, buy PeaPro or WheyPro. If you want protein plus a genuine nutritional spread in one scoop, this is the one.
Hexane extraction is standard across commodity plant protein production because it is fast and cheap — and almost no brand mentions using it. HyperHemp is separated mechanically and with water instead.

How to Use Your Hemp Protein Powder
Add three-quarters of a scoop, or 3 heaped teaspoons (30g), to a glass or shaker. Blend with water, fruit or vegetable juice, almond or coconut milk. It also works stirred into yoghurt, cereal and even soups — the botanical blend gives it an earthy, green character that suits savoury use as well as sweet.
Because HyperHemp already contains greens and berries, it can replace a separate greens powder. For a higher-protein shake, blend it with PeaPro.
Is This You?
- You want protein and greens in one scoop rather than buying a protein powder and a greens powder separately
- You prefer whole-food nutrition over stripped-back isolates — hemp keeps its fibre rather than discarding it
- You want a complete plant protein from a single source, without needing to blend two powders
- You want protein extracted without hexane or toxic chemicals, from a brand willing to state it
- You need halal approved vegan protein — MyProtein, Bulk and Good Hemp carry none

Questions We Get Asked
Why is hemp protein lower in protein than pea or whey?
Because it keeps more of the seed. Pea and whey isolates strip everything except protein, which pushes the protein percentage up. Hemp protein retains the seed's dietary fibre — 16.2g per 100g here — and those take up room in the scoop. HyperHemp gives 13.6g of complete protein per 30g serving alongside that fuller nutritional profile. It's a different trade, not a worse product: if you want maximum grams per scoop, take PeaPro instead.
Is hemp protein a complete protein?
Yes. Hemp seed naturally contains all nine essential amino acids, which puts it in a very small group of single-source plant proteins that don't need blending to be complete. Pea is low in methionine and rice is low in lysine, which is why those two are commonly combined. Hemp doesn't require that.
Does hemp protein contain CBD or THC?
No. HyperHemp is made from hemp seed, which is a food ingredient. Cannabinoids such as CBD and THC are concentrated in the flower and leaf of the plant, not the seed. Hemp seed protein has no psychoactive properties and will not affect a drug test.
Can this replace my greens powder?
For most people, yes. HyperHemp contains spirulina, chlorella, spinach, alfalfa, parsley, beetroot, acai, baobab, blackcurrant, acerola cherry, green tea, dandelion, Ceylon cinnamon and fenugreek — the same category of ingredients you'd find in a dedicated greens blend, with 13.6g of complete protein alongside. If you want a far broader organic blend specifically, BioGreenz covers over 35 organic ingredients.
Food supplements should not replace a varied diet or healthy lifestyle. Consult your GP before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a diagnosed health condition.
